Maureen Burgess School of Reflexology

teaching to a high standard

TEAM

We are a small but dedicated team and are very hands on with our students. This allows us to really get to know each one and support them individually during their training.

Caroline Burgess
Tutor and IQA

I was introduced to Reflexology in 1997
when invited to be a Case Study for a student on Maureen's course. I found it a fascinating therapy so decided to train as a Reflexologist myself. I qualified in 2001 and began helping Maureen with the teaching shortly after.

I have a City and Guilds Certificate for Teaching in Further Education, and now focus on working with students on the practical techniques of Reflexology. I also carry out the Internal Quality Assurance for the school.

My Reflexology business is mobile, so I go to visit clients in their homes. It is flexible and fits around my part-time work as a Primary School Teaching Assistant.

Jacki Grosvenor
Principal and Main Course Tutor

I started my working life in various office
roles and following redundancy in 2002 took the opportunity to change direction. My Reflexology journey began in 2003 with Maureen Burgess, successfully completing my training in 2004. I then ran my Reflexology alongside my office job, enjoying the calmness of giving treatments alongside the busyness of the office. In 2006 I was given the opportunity to return and help Maureen with a large class working with new students on their practical skills. In 2008 I completed my Cert. Ed and now teach all aspects of the course which I enjoy. As I am the Main Course Tutor it is my face you will see most often! It is so interesting where life takes you when you least expect and sometimes you just have to take opportunities as they present themselves. I love meeting people and seeing the journey that each student takes while with us.
