Principal and Main Tutor

Maureen Burgess Honorary MAR IIR:
A founder member and Director of Putney Samaritans, and member of Richmond, Twickenham and Roehampton Community Health Council, Maureen trained as a Reflexologist with Maureen Burgessthe International Institute of Reflexology in the early '80's. She established the School at Barnes in 1988. Maureen's philosophy endeavours to create an environment that embodies the essence of healing. A recent graduate comments on Maureen as follows:

"Maureen's teaching went far beyond the basic techniques. She desired that we learn the skills of an effective therapist, including learning to listen to the client and give them a sense of security and space. Maureen nurtures her students, following their progress with patience and encouragement. I knew I was safe in her hands."

"Her passion for reflexology is unstoppable, enthusiasm and support for her students overflowing and she still finds time to send us interesting case studies and stories for Reflexions and AoR archives. She has been a member of the Associations since its inception and is an active participant at AoR conferences and seminars"
